It's Me!?

Kiyoshi, Teppei x Reader [Oneshot]

"Don't forget to lock up the equipment room. And make sure that everything was left just like how we saw it before we started practice. We'll be in trouble if things were left a mess." Hyuga watched Kagami and Kuroko place the basketball bins inside a large room.

"Onii-chan!" Hyuga immediately turns his head towards the entrance of the gym, seeing a slim figure waving and walking towards him.

"Did you finish practice? If not, I'll wait for you."

"Yeah, we just did. We'll leave in a few minutes."

The Seirin team watches the two interact closely and the relationship between their captain and the new girl begins to finally register.

"Ehhh!?" They all shout in unison.

"Onii-chan!?" Izuki repeats what you had called Hyuga.

"Oh, __(y/n)-chan! It's been a while!" Kiyoshi greets with a big smile.

"__(y/n)-chan!" Riko gives you a friendly embrace.

"Teppei-kun! Riko-chan! Things have been busy. Sorry for being a bit M.I.A." You laughed slightly.

"It's fine! How do you like it here?" Kiyoshi asks.

"Oh, I lov-" Your sentence was interrupted by another person at the entrance of the gym.

"Sorry for interrupting, but I need to borrow you for a second." You recognized the girl to be one of your friends and you excused yourself momentarily to talk with her in the hallway.

"Onii-chan!? ONII-chan!?" His friends minus Riko and Teppei crowd around their captain while you were busy chatting with your classmate.

"Hah? What about it?"

"You never told us you had a sister!" Izuki pointed out.

"Yeah! A very cute sister!" Koganei added and the rest agree with him enthusiastically.

"Oi!" Hyuuga's eye twitch out of annoyance.

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"It's to keep her away from people like you!"

"Huh? What's that suppose to mean?"

"Then how does Kiyoshi-senpai and coach know her?" Kuroko was curious about the younger Hyuga.

"She comes to our gym and I've been to their house lots of times." Riko often goes to the Hyuga residence to discuss basketball plans with Junpei.

"I met her when I went to Hyuga's house for study sessions." Kiyoshi answered his team mates.

"That isn't fair!" Izuki pouts.

"Kiyoshi was on accident! I wasn't expecting him to show up when she was at home also."

"No wonder you rarely invite us to your house." Koganei points out. "But now that we know you have a sister, we can come over often, ne?"

"Of course not! If any of you try anything funny with her, I swear I'll make sure you'll practice till you're reduced to nothing! Even if it doesn't follow coach's regimen, I WILL make it happen." A fiery background seemed to appear behind Hyuuga, intensifying his warning. The other players let out a strained smile and nod, clearly afraid to face his wrath.


"We'll never win ANYTHING if you kill all the players!" Riko hits him over the head with her paper fan.

"Okay! I'm ready." You returned, gathering your things you left on the floor.

"Here, I got it." Junpei places the strap of your bag over his shoulder along with his own. During that brief period of silence, there was an audible high pitch growl, causing the basketball team to look for the source.

"Eheh, sorry, I'm a bit hungry." You blush, rubbing the back of your head.

"Here! Take some!"

"Have some of my food!"

"Try this!"

"I'm hungry, too, but we can share my snacks."

"It's not much, but you can have my pocky." The boys immediately flood around you, presenting their treats to the hungry girl.

"Back away! Why are you so close!?" Junpei's shout pushed the audience away.

"Thanks everyone, but why don't we all go out to eat together? I'm sure you're all starving."

"Sounds good! This'll also be good bonding time for the team." Kiyoshi agrees and the basketball group heads to the nearest restaurant.

"Oh! Teppei, by the way, you saw __(favorite show) last week, ne?" You went up to his side while you both lead the gang.

"Of course! It was one of the best episodes this season so far."

As you converse enthusiastically with the Iron Heart, Junpei is a few feet behind you, eying the brown haired male cautiously.

"Stop that. You're making it look like Teppei is some kind of criminal or something." Riko hits him behind the head.

"Itai!" He holds the spot where immediate pain radiated to.

"Ne, ne, so does __(y/n)-chan have a boyfriend?" Koganei asks and the others listen closely to Junpei's answer.

"Of course not! She's a bright girl who knows where her priorities are. She doesn't have time wasting it on boys. She's a good girl." He crosses his arms, nodding his head, almost as if to reassure himself of his reply and to give his friends a warning that you were off limits.

"Don't listen to him. It's true she's single, but she isn't that strict. Yeah, she's focused in school, but it doesn't mean she's not willing to find someone. So, do your best!" Riko gives the boys a thumbs up and a wink.

"Hai!" They chimed together, their captain sending them a glare.

"Don't get any ideas!"

After a few minutes of walking, you had found a place that accommodated the big gang. You follow the waiter to the table, but continue your conversation with Kiyoshi. Before you sat down, he pulled out the chair he saw you were aiming for before sitting himself beside you.

"Aw, thanks, Teppei-kun. You're so nice." You smiled and blushed slightly at his gentleman like behavior and occupied the seat.

"No worries." Kiyoshi laughs, not noticing the look your big brother was giving him as he quickly took your other free side. Throughout dinner, you were becoming more familiar with Junpei's team, glad that your brother had such good friends. Also, now you gained a few friends who were the same year as you. The waiters brought out the small dishes first, placing them in front of their designated person.

"Fuwahh! They had that? I didn't see it!" You pouted, seeing that Kiyoshi had ordered takoyaki as an appetizer.

"Hmmm?" He pauses before placing the octopus ball into his mouth. "Here, you can have some." Kiyoshi smiles as he presents the small treat to you, offering to share.

"Really?"

"Yeah, go for it! I got a lot, so here." He brings his chopstick closer to you and you happily accept. After he feeds you the takoyaki, you placed a hand on your pink cheek, shortly humming out of satisfaction.

"Oishiii. Thanks Teppei!"

"Haha, take as much as you like!"

The others stare at the two, feeling a little out of place after Kiyoshi's gesture. Borders of flowers seemed to frame the two of you and the busy background was being replaced with colors of pink and white.

'They're like a couple!

'Damnit, Kiyoshi! I'm so jealous!'

'Too cute! I so need to take a pic!'

"Teme...what was-" Before Junpei could question the tall number 7's motion, you interrupted him with a cute pout.

"Nii-chan, I want takoyaki, too. Ask the waiter for me, pleaseeee?"

"O-of course! Nii-chan will take care of it." He nods, forgetting about his original thought.

After dinner, you said your good-byes to everyone since the boys, plus Riko, were taking different directions to head home.

"It was nice eating with everyone! Let's do it again soon! Ja!"

"Take care! Send me a text when you get home." Kiyoshi waves.

"Okay, will do!"

"Huh? Matte, matte, matte, matte, mattte." Junpei says quickly, stopping everyone from leaving. "Since when did you get my sister's number?"

"We exchanged numbers a while ago." Kiyoshi blinks innocently.

"When did this happen!?"

"Last year. There was one time when I was looking for you and you weren't answering your phone, then I bumped into Teppei-kun and asked him for his help. I told him to call or text me if he found you." You answered, unable to see why your brother was becoming worked up.

Hyuga mentally curses at his carelessness, feeling it was his fault that you had to give your number to that weirdo.

"You didn't know I have his number? I thought you knew that we've been texting regularly?"

"You sly bastard..." Hyuga gives him a scary look, grasping the front of Kiyoshi's shirt.

"Please exchange numbers with me so that I'll know you got home safely!"

"Me, too!"

"Same here!"

"Ma, ma, give me a second." You sweat dropped at the amount of demands around you.

"Oi, you all have my number, don't you? I'LL be the one to inform you if we got home okay, got it?" A creepy presence shakes the Seirin team and you roll your eyes at your brother.

"I'll give you my number tomorrow at school."

"What!?" Hyuga looks slightly alarmed.

"Anyway, bye!" You smile at your new friends then linked your arm with your brother. "Let's go! I want to finish my homework early so I won't be hating myself later if I have to stay up."

"Okay! Okay!" You drag your brother down the block, Hyuga turning to his friends and pointing two fingers at his eyes then at them, indicating that if they tried anything, he'll know.

"I can't believe midterms are next week!" You exclaim, sitting in your circle of basketball friends during lunch.

"This semester seems like it's moving fast." Kuroko points out.

"Eh? Wait, midterms are already next week? I thought we had 2 more weeks?" Kagami is surprised by the news.

"Bakagami! What made you think they were in 2 weeks?" Riko then hits him over the head with her paper fan. "You better study your ass off! If you get poor grades on your tests, you won't be able to participate in games!"

"What!? Aw man, I gotta hustle! __(y/n)! Can I borrow your notes?"

"Sure!"

"Don't mooch off my sister!"

"Urusei! We'll struggle if we're missing our ace!" Riko didn't care how Kagami would prepare for midterms, so as long as he passed!

"Don't worry so much. As long as you study, you'll be fine." Kiyoshi smiles reassuringly. The warning bell rang, signaling that there were only a few minutes left of lunch. Everyone began to exit the school roof and down the stairs to the fifth floor. [1]

You were almost halfway down until you accidentally lost your footing. You had taken a step close to the edge of the stair and gravity was pulling you forward.

"Kya!"

"__(y/n)-chan!" Those behind you saw you trip, attempting to save you.

"Watch out!" Kiyoshi, who was closest to you, encased your tiny body in his strong hold. He kept his base stable in order to prevent both of you from crashing. Your eyes were not only wide at the shock of an almost accident, but the realization of what was around you.

"Hm?" Your savior raises a brow when his palms detect something soft and full, observing that his hands barely covered whatever they were grasping. 'What are these big things in my hands?

"Ummmm....ano..." Your face burned a bright ruby, looking down and finding that he had accidentally grabbed your breasts. Kiyoshi looks over your shoulder and his eyes widen, immediately letting go and apologizing repeatedly.

"All right, go Kiyoshi!" A few students who watched the scene cheered, embarrassment growing quickly on Teppei's face as he tried to dispel the misunderstanding.

"Huh? Is it getting hot all of a sudden?" Koganei asks, feeling the rise in temperature.

"You bastard." The club looks towards their captain, relating the heat to be from the older Hyuga. Flames were ignited all around him as well as his eyes, pressing his knuckles against his palm until an audible crack was heard. Those around the fiery brother cower in fear, sympathizing with Kiyoshi.

"W-w-wait, Hyuga. I swear, it was all by accident! I didn't want her to fall! I promise that there was no ill intention behind it! I would never disrespect __(y/n) and you like that."

"I knew you were some weirdo! How dare you touch my sister, you damn hentai!" Riko pulls you away from the two boys, sighing at Hyuga's reaction. She understood from Hyuga's view, but he was just being ridiculous.

"Nii-chan! Stop it!" All you see is a cloud of white dispersed around the two and you hear Hyuga curse and Kiyoshi pleading his innocence. "Onii-chan, yamete! Or else I'm going to get angry!"

Hyuga instantly ceases his brawl, but keeps Kiyoshi in a tight headlock.

"He didn't mean it." You vouched for the brown haired boy. "In a way, it was my fault for being clumsy and he went through all the trouble to try and help me."

"B-b-but..he grabbed your...he touched your...your..."

"He didn't do it on purpose! Besides, he saved me a trip to the hospital. So...just, relax, okay? Let's just forget it happened and get to class."

"Fine..." Hyuga lets him go, the taller one standing up straight with a few bumps on his face. Your brother hits him behind the head one more time before heading to his classroom.

"Onii-chan!" You scolded for his surprise attack and sighed, crossing your arms.

"I'm sorry. I truly am! Please, hit me also!" Kiyoshi bows to you and you laugh sheepishly at him.

"I-I won't hit you because you didn't mean to grab ummm....them. I know you're a good person, so...thanks!"

"At least let me make it up to you."

"You don't have to.

"I won't feel satisfied until I do."

"How about...when I think of one, I'll let you know?"

"Okay."

"Good, now let's go before we're late."

This whole week was torture! But the night before your last midterms, all through to the end of your final test, you felt like your patience was truly being tested. You weren't able to sleep well that previous night, your morning wasn't any better, you forgot your pens at home, you kept blanking out during the tests, you accidentally dropped your lunch on the floor before you ate it, and your final exam was the hardest to complete. By the end of that day, your brother had to give you a ride on his back since you felt like you couldn't go on.

Now it was a new, midterm-free week, but you still had to continue your lessons. Which you'd rather take than complete another test.

"Hyuga! __(y/n)-chan!" You look ahead to see Kiyoshi and a few others wave to you and your brother. You exchanged your morning greetings before walking to the shoe locker section where you found something unexpected. [2]

"Heeeh? Looks like you got a little something, __(y/n)-chan." Riko notices a beautiful, single flower placed on the second small shelf of your shoe box.

"For me?" You blink, delicately grasping the stem and staring down at the soft petals.

"And you got a love note!" The coach pulls out a folded paper which Hyuga grabbed instantly.

"Onii-chan! That's mine, not yours!" You pouted, wanting to be the first to read it.

Hey __(y/n)! I heard you had it rough yesterday. Here's a little something that'll hopefully bring out your lovely smile. Enjoy the rest of your day!</i>

You read it to yourself, giggling quietly when you finished and making the others move closer around you.

"May I?" Riko asked and you allowed her to read the unsigned note.

"Awww! Kawaii!!" She gave you a huge embrace, Hyuga snatching the paper from her again.

"Who the hell wrote this!? This is bad, __(y/n)! You have a stalker!" Hyuga declares loudly, receiving multiple stares from various individuals.

"Nii-chan!" You puffed out your red cheeks, taking possession of your note.

"And it's not a stalker! It's a secret admirer." The brown haired coach corrected, letting out a content sigh for her friend.

"Same thing!" He then turned to his teammates. "Which one of you wrote this?"

"Eh? Why would you think it's us? I mean, not that we wouldn't want to give __(y/n)-chan some gifts." Izuki answered.

"What was that? Are you saying it was you?"

"Ma, ma Hyuga, relax a little. At least she got something nice." Kiyoshi interjected.

"It was definitely you! First you cop a feel and now you're trying to stalk her!" He swings his arm over Kiyoshi's neck and locks his head tightly.

"W-wait, Hyuga-"

"Calm down, Hyuga!"

"There's no proof it was him!"

"Stop being ridiculous and let __(y/n)-chan enjoy her moment!" Riko slaps the back of Hyuga's head in order to have him release the Iron Heart. You ignored your brother and his friends, smiling softly to yourself as you take in the sweet aroma of the flower. You giggle softly again, feeling the silky blades of the small plant.

"Oh! I have an idea." Riko turns your back to the boys, grabbing the flower and breaking a portion of its stem. She lets it rest over your ear and beside your temple, using a few bobby pins to secure it against your hair. She combs her fingers through your hair, smoothing your ___(h/c) locks more and allowing it to flow freely.

"Now you can show it off and keep it with you for the rest of the day!" Riko pulls out her compact mirror from her backpack for you to use.

"Arigato! I like it!" You proceed to change your outdoor shoes to the indoor ones before the warning bell would ring.

"Okay, nii-chan, I'll see you at lunch! Bye guys!" You smiled, the boys blushing slightly at today's hairstyle. Kiyoshi watches you walk with Riko to your classrooms and couldn't help but feel a little envious at the person who you were thinking about after you received your gift.

That flower seemed to be your good luck charm because you had an easy rest of the morning and afternoon. You were with Riko, cleaning the home economics room along with a few other girls from different classes. [3]

"So, have an idea who that flower might be from?" Riko asked, keep her voice low enough so that the conversation was kept away from the other females.

"No, I actually don't, although I'd like to meet and thank them if I find out who."

"Who do you wish it's from?" She grinned, knowing you had a crush on someone. Who it was, she had to confirm it with you.

"Eh? W-well...even if I say the person's name, it doesn't mean he gave this to me." You trusted Riko with these topics, looking up to her as an older sister.

"Oh c'monnn, who do you like, __(y/n)-chan?"

You glanced at your surroundings to find the other girls far away and brought your mouth and hand close to her ear, curving your fingers into a small 'C.'

"Teppei."

"Kya! So kawaii!" Riko excitedly clapped her hands a couple times, "What is it that you like about him?"

"He has such a sweet personality. He's kind and considerate and I feel easy around him, like my stress just disappears. He has this happy aura where you can't be mad or sad if you're with him. You feel that you can depend on him and his determination makes you want to also work hard. And what I really like about him is that...he just makes me want to smile."

"__(y/n)-chan you are so adorable! I bet that flower is from him!"

"Just because I like him doesn't mean it's from Teppei. I mean, it'd be nice, but it could be from anyone. Besides, I don't think he notices me in that way."

"You never know." She says in a singsong tone.

"Hai, hai." You laugh a bit before continuing your cleaning duties so that you would be able to make it on time for your club activities.

The next day, Hyuga found it hard to part from his bed in the morning. Riko's practice was extra brutal since they missed a week's worth of training due to midterms. Your parents had left early for work, but he found breakfast already prepared on the table.

"Ohayou, nii-chan!" He heard you enter the kitchen and feels you place a sisterly peck on his cheek. He blinks a few times before looking at you and noticing that you looked more refreshed. Your face and eyes seemed bright and assumed it was your make up.

'But she doesn't wear any.' He continues to ponder on the question. 'She probably did those spa and beauty things last night.'

"Oh, we should leave a little early since I don't think okaa-san made us lunch last night." Your mother was exhausted from work and ended up ordering food for dinner since she didn't want to worry about cooking.

"That's fine! I made us some." You smiled, holding up two bento boxes covered in different colored furoshiki.

"Thanks." Hyuga was a bit surprised, but it also wasn't unusual for you to make food for the two of you. When breakfast was finished, you headed out the door with your brother, humming a few songs to yourself. He raises a brow at your happy mood, but doesn't concern himself about it too much.

"Hi, __(y/n)!"

"Morning, __(y/n)-chan!"

"You look good!"

"Hey, __(y/n)! Whenever you're free, mind helping me study for our quiz week?"

"Ohayou, __(y/n)-chan! See you in class later!"

Now he was becoming concerned. Again, it wasn't uncommon for you to get greetings from everyone, but you were getting much more than unusual...especially from the male population. He noticed your hair was styled again, but it didn't look that different to him. You were wearing the same uniform as always. No make up. No flashy jewelry.

Nothing. You were the same, little old sister of his.

"Koga-kun! Good morning!" He was the first you noticed by the school entrance. You greeted him with a hug, along with Mitobe who was beside him. The next pair you saw was Kuroko and Kagami, who also received an embrace from you. You did that with the rest of the upcoming team, everyone noting your very good mood.

"Teppei! How are you?" You smiled as soon as you saw the Uncrowned King, about to give him one of your hugs, but he had given you one first.

"Ohayou!" He had seen your positive attitude towards the others and it made him glad to see you smiling. What he didn't know was it was because of him. You were elated after admitting to Riko and yourself about Kiyoshi being the one you really like. You used to brush it off as just a temporary crush, but now that you attended the same school and interacted more with him, your liking towards him developed further.

"Put her down!" Hyuga scolds when he sees Teppei lift you up slightly.

"Aw, Hyuga, do you want one, too?" Kiyoshi jokes, setting you down and opening his arms to your brother.

"U-u-ursei, you weirdo!"

Hyuga continues to observe your demeanor before concluding exactly what it was that made you look and feel different. When it was time for basketball practice after school, he finally found the answer.

"Mina! Before we start, I have a very important matter to bring up." Hyuga is seated on one of the bleachers, chin resting on his folded hands. He leans a little forward, staring at his team with deep seriousness in his eyes.

"My little sister...likes someone!" He stood up, pointing at them.

"Really? Who is it?"

"Is it me?"

"Or me?"

"What about me?"

"Tell us, Hyuga!"

"Urusei! Of course it's none of you...at least I don't think it is! And she hasn't told me so I don't know."

"Then how do you know she likes someone?" Kagami asks, finding his announcement interesting, but also itching to play basketball.

"She has been acting strange since this morning. She's been smiling, laughing, and humming to herself all day! The bento she made me was filled with hearts, pandas, smileys, and other cute stuff. She was giving out hugs like no tomorrow AND she sometimes becomes distracted out of no where. This happened last time when she had a crush on someone."

"Then, what do you want us to do?"

"I want you to find the guy! I want you to bring him to me, dead or alive!"

"Eh? What's with this mafia feel all of a sudden?" Koganei shouts.

"Fine, just bring him to me. I don't care how you do it. I want to find out who he is!" He punches his fist into his palm. "Find him or I'll-"

"Leave __(y/n)-chan alone!" Riko slaps her clipboard against his head. "She'll never get a boyfriend if you keep acting like this."

"She doesn't need one! She's too young anyway." Hyuga argues as Riko rolls her eyes in response.

"I'd hate to see how you'd react when __(y/n)-chan gets married." Riko begins to look through her papers with today's training regimen.

"She's not getting married until she's 40..."

"All right, boys, here's what's going to happen today." Riko ignores Hyuga's mumbling and commences their warming up exercises. When they've completed their assigned drills, they gather around their tiny coach, waiting to hear what their next task was.

"We're going to do something just a little different." Riko hides her grin behind her clipboard.

"Oh no, I know that look." Hyuga's eyes widen slightly with fear. The underclassmen glance at their senpais and frown at their facial expressions.

"I'm going to split you into two teams to face off against each other in a game. Now, the team that wins will get a reward!"

"What kind of reward?" Kiyoshi asks warily.

"A date with __(y/n)-chan!"

"HAH?!" Hyuga screams abruptly, nearly spilling his water bottle on himself. "You mean to tell me, my little sister has to date the entire winning team?!"

"Let me finish! I will pick only ONE person from the winning team. So that means, if your team wins, one of you will have a chance at getting a date with __(y/n)."

"How will you pick the person?" Inquires number 7, clearly interested in Riko's proposal.

"I'll choose whoever I feel has worked the hardest. So, do your best!~" She winks before splitting the group into two, attempting to evenly disperse everyone's power. The ones she definitely separated were Hyuga, Kiyoshi, Kagami, and Kuroko, which she was a bit excited to see how they would play being on opposite sides. During the last quarter, she hears Nigou bark a few times and she glances to what caught his attention.

"__(y/n)-chan! You're finished for the day?" Riko asks when you stand beside her.

"Mhm!"

"We're almost finished here, too."

"Everyone looks so serious." You watch your brother make his famous three pointer shot. "Nice one, Onii-chan!"

For a brief moment, the boys were surprised by your presence, but remembered they were still in a game. Their focus becomes more intense after seeing you and listening to your cheers.

"Good job, Teppei!" Your crush slams the ball easily through the hoop. The last few minutes made you hold your breath, your mind unable to predict who would be the winner. Your concentration is cut off when Riko blows her whistle, indicating the end of the game. The scoreboard wasn't on, but Riko was consistently keeping track of their points.

"Who won?" Kagami asked in between breaths, the boys having forgotten what their score was during the game. Their mind was set on making every shot possible.

"It's Team 2!" She points towards Kiyoshi and his partners.

"Yosh!" Koganei raises his arms and the others high five one another.

"I have failed you, imouto-chan." Hyuga says depressingly, resting on his hands and knees while the area around him seemed to be darker than usual.

"Onii-chan, you're so funny."

"Who is the player that you picked, Kantoku?" Kuroko was curious if he would win a date with you.

"Ah, that's right! Hmmm...the one who I pick is...." She points to a tall male wearing a pink shirt, "Teppei!"

"Nooo! Not him! Why?!" Hyuga instantly stands in front of his coach.

"You're too close!" She shoves a hand to his face, pushing him back.

"Onii-chan, you should be happy for Teppei! I think he did a very good job, too."

"You don't understand! You're going on a date with him!"

"Oh c'mon, that isn't so--wait, what!?"

"Eheh, hope you don't mind, __(y/n)-chan!" The brown haired female gives you a sheepish smile and wink. "I had the boys play a game against each other and whoever I thought worked the hardest, their reward was a date with you."

"Hah? I mean, I don't mind, but shouldn't you ask them if they even want to go on a date with me?"

"Of course we do!" Everyone, minus Riko and your brother say with confidence.

"Oh wow, well, I'm glad everyone's that comfortable in hanging out with me."

"Anyway, so that's the deal. Since Teppei was chosen, he'll be taking you out!"

It made sense now how this was all happening. Riko totally set you up! Not in a bad way, but you weren't expecting her to work so quickly! After you had told her you had a crush on Teppei, it was no coincidence that you would go on a date with the handsome boy.

"You two can talk about your plans on your way home since Teppei will be walking you." You hear Riko say.

"Wait, why would he be walking ___(y/n)? I'm going home, too." Hyuga interjects.

"Nope! You'll be staying here with me for a while! We need to discuss our budget for this semester, fund raisers, recruiting new members, training spots, and a bunch of other things that only the Captain can help with."

"Can't we do that another time?"

"Deadline is coming up and we haven't started, so, nope!" She turns to you and Teppei. "Get her home safely! See you!"

"Let's go!" Riko pulls your brother by the ear to the locker room where all her papers were kept. You and Kiyoshi began to head home, talking about anything eventful that went on for today. Conversing with Teppei was natural and easy, but your heart would not stop overreacting to him walking you home and your upcoming date.

"Ah, so what day are you free?" Kiyoshi asks, his heart also excited to be spending some alone time with you.

"Hmmm, I guess any? What's more convenient for you?"

"I'm fine with anything. I don't want to interfere with any other plans you have."

"You're so sweet, Teppei." You giggled at how you both didn't want to be a hindrance to one another. "Let's do Friday?"

"Okay! Sounds good! I'll pick you up around 7:30-8?"

"Hai!"

Kiyoshi had been planning all week for today. He was more excited than nervous and it was obvious through his actions. He smiled more, laughed more, and his game improved greatly.

"I'll be heading out first. See you later!" Kiyoshi waves to his friends, exiting school grounds as soon as practice ended. He showered and changed into casual clothes, picking out the nicest ones. It didn't take him long to arrive at your house, ringing the bell as soon as he was in front of your door. The door was opened immediately, Kiyoshi facing an overprotective brother.

"Hey there, Hyuga! Long time no see, huh?" He laughs.

"Listen up, Iron Heart, if you try anything...ANYTHING with __(y/n)-chan, I promise you that-"

"Onii-chan!" Your voice was heard from behind. "Stop trying to threatening Teppei-kun."

"But I have to! It's part of being the older brother."

"Hai. Hai. I get it. You do this all the time. IF Teppei tries anything, which I know he would never do, I'LL personally kick his butt, okay?"

"And I promise I'll keep her safe." Kiyoshi adds. Junpei loves his sister very much so he understood his concern for you.

"My phone is fully charged and it will stay open so I'll send you a text here and there just to let you know what's up, okay?" You gave your brother a hug before joining Kiyoshi outside the door. "Oh and if you try to follow us, don't expect me to be talking to you for weeks."

You gave him a warning smile, your brother laughing nervously as a dark blue shade covers his forehead. You and Kiyoshi finally depart for your date, letting out a small sigh.

"I'm sorry about him. Sometimes he can be so silly."

"It's fine. I think it's good he acts like that. It means he really cares for you."

"Yeah, that's true."

His excitement was beginning to be overtaken by anxiousness. He hoped that today's date would go smoothly. Kiyoshi was originally going to surprise you, but he figured it would be best if he included you in the planning. He didn't want to take you somewhere that you didn't like. He thought of all the different locations and activities, but wanted your opinion on his ideas. Finally, you both agreed that a zoo sounded fun for yours and Kiyoshi's first date. [4]

Kiyoshi bought both your tickets at the front entrance, leading you to the first animal he spotted. The last time you visited the zoo was with your brother when you were in grade school and you're amazed at how much renovations have been done. You were going from habitat to habitat, not following any particular order. It was fun how you and Kiyoshi were getting thrilled at seeing the wild creatures.

"Oh, look! Tiger!" You tugged on Kiyoshi's hand.

"Huh, Kagami's here? Where?" Your crush looks around his surroundings.

You laugh at his misunderstanding, pointing towards the direction of the orange and black felines. "No, silly, not Taiga. Tiger, as in the animal."

"Oh. My bad." He rubs the side of his neck, trying to ignore his embarrassment.

"No worries. Anyway, let's go over there." You lead the way this time, unaware of the fact that you were holding onto his hand. Kiyoshi smiles, not saying a word as he allows himself to be pulled by you. You spend a few minutes in the tiger section before walking to where a growing crowd was forming. You and Kiyoshi lean against the railings, finding that the zoo keepers were preparing a short, seal show for the crowd. More and more people were gathering around the seal territory, your shoulders now pressed against Kiyoshi's arm.

"Yusuke! Don't wander so far away! You have to stay with Okaa-san."

"But, Mama, I can't see." You hear a little boy say, watching him push his way to where you were. He pouts when people were still obstructing his view and you gently lift him up under his arms, placing his feet on the ledge. He stands on the elevated ledge, holding onto the railing as he looks down to where the seals were. His mother catches up to him, lightly scolding him for running around carelessly.

"I'm sorry, Mama, but I really wanted to watch the show! It's my favorite!"

"Hai, hai, but you have to stay close to me from now on."

You notice that you were in the mother's way, giving up your spot so that she could be with her son. The two thank you for your gesture, Kiyoshi admiring your kindness. You were now behind Kiyoshi, but he knew you wouldn't be able to watch from that position. He takes a small step back, carefully bringing you in front of him to occupy the space he has made.

"Thanks." you said, cheeks slightly red at how you were slightly caged in his arms.

"No problem. You did something nice for that kid and his mom, so you deserve something nice, too."

"Aw man, that guy's too tall!"

"I can't see."

"Is there anymore room at the front?"

"That guy must be at least 6'!"

"Wah, dada, the big man is in my way."

Kiyoshi can hear the comments from behind him and laughs slightly, but he refuses to move. If he moved, he wouldn't be close to you. So, instead, he rests his forearms on the balustrade, his chin a few centimeters above your shoulder. He hunched himself slightly so that his height wouldn't burden anyone.

"Sorry, I hope you don't mind. I don't want my height to get in anyone's way."

"I don't mind at all."

You hear one of the zoo keepers begin an introduction to the seal show, your attention somewhat focused on her. You couldn't stop thinking about how close Kiyoshi was to you and how you can feel his even breathing tickling your skin.

"Oh, you saw that? That was a neat trick." Kiyoshi says, complimenting the seal's flexibility and accurate timing.

"Huh? Oh, yeah, totally awesome."

You begin to get used to Teppei's close presence, now enjoying the presentation before you. You both were so comfortable with the short distance that your face didn't fluster as much when his chin rested on your shoulder. You leaned your head against his, Kiyoshi noting how soft your skin was and resisting the urge to let his lips roam over your cheek.

After you toured around the entire zoo, you and Kiyoshi explored a restaurant that you both haven't tried yet. It was a fun experience and you would love to try more new restaurants with him. Before going home, Kiyoshi wanted to spend a few moments of alone time with you. You stopped by the park near the basketball courts, occupying a free bench. You and Kiyoshi shared a conversation of whatever passed through your minds, learning more and more about one another.

"Ne, __(y/n)-chan?"

"Hmmm?"

"I'm sorry. I know our date was only because Riko set us up and I honestly should have asked if you really wanted to go with me."

"Eh? I don't understand what you're trying to say? Why are you apologizing? Of course I'd love to go with you. I'm having so much fun."

"Because I remembered when you got that flower in your locker, you were extremely happy, even though you didn't know who it was from. Whoever you were thinking about at that time, I'm sure you would have rather gone with him instead of me." Kiyoshi almost forgot that you had no idea who gave you the flower. He assumed you thought that another boy had given it to you. He didn't think he had the capability to make you smile or react the way you did these past few days after you received the small gift.

"Yes, actually, you're right. Whoever gave me that flower, I hope it was from the person I like." You decided to reveal your crush to him. "If I tell you who I like, you won't tell anyone, ne?"

"O-of course." He nods, but he feels uneasy at your upcoming answer.

"His name is Kiyoshi, Teppei."

"Eh? Seriously? You like a guy that has the same name as me?"

"Hah?" You blink in confusion twice. "What? No. There is only one Kiyoshi, Teppei that I know. Let me give you a hint."

You laughed a bit at his obliviousness and gently cup his face. You pull his head to yours, connecting your lips for a brief moment.

"Can I get another hint?" Kiyoshi says when you removed your lips from his, smiling widely. His heart jumps at your apparent confession, both of you sharing another kiss, this time much longer than before. He rests a hand on your waist, kissing you with a little more passion. He is mindful of how much force he uses, not wanting to drive you out of your comfort zone.

"I also have something to confess." says your date while you take a short break. "I was the one who put the flower in your shelf."

"Really?"

"Mhm. I wanted to make you happy on your bad days, even if I had to hide who I was."

"You're the best. I really mean it." You wrap your arms over his shoulders, stealing another kiss. You were so happy your feelings were returned and that your gift did come from who you hoped it to be.

Hyuga jumps immediately from the couch to the front door when he hears his sister enter. He pretends to not be interested in how your date was, not wanting to be annoying. He lazily walks to where you were, faking a yawn to make it seem as if he just took a nap.

"Eh? What are you doing here?" Hyuga wasn't expecting to see Kiyoshi in his house.

"Oh, guess what! I found the guy that __(y/n) likes!" The tall number seven raises his hand that was laced with yours. "It's me!"

"NANIII!?"
