Chapter 5: The First Move

"You said you needed an apartment, soon, right? Well, what better than sharing one with your best friend?" He smirked, walking in further into his home.

"C'mon, what's not there to like about it? It's in Ikebukuro, it's close to your work, close to everyone, no charge, and of course, you get to live with the one and only." He could see your unsure expression, attempting to convince you more.

"Wait...no charge? What does that mean?"

"Means just what it is. You don't have to worry about the cost." Izaya sat on the couch, letting his body sink into it slightly, one arm resting on the top of the couch.

"Come, my dear __(y/n)." He said, patting a seat beside him.

"What do you mean no cost?" You walked and sat to where he was, processing what he was saying very slowly.

"Man, you need to take a day off or something. That stress is really affecting your thought process." He shook his head slightly. "Or maybe stop hanging around Shizu-chan because it seems like you're catching his stupidity."

"Be nice," You gave him a slightly stern look, "I'm just confused? Surprised? That you are gonna let me live here for free?"

"Not TOTALLY free, it'd be nice if you'd help out with the groceries, cooking, and maybe some cleaning."

"What am I, your wife?" You raised an eyebrow.

"Not yet." He winked playfully, making you blush as he laughed at your reaction.

"No, but really, how come you're letting me stay here for free? It's not that I'm not grateful, but..."

"C'mon now, __(y/n)-chan! You should know that you're my favorite human out of everyone, so why wouldn't I want to help?"

You couldn't help but wonder what he was scheming, but at the same time, this deal was going to help you out a lot. Also, he seemed genuine about letting you move in.

"I guess so...but I am curious as to how much you're paying." Hey, you wanted to help him out somehow other than cooking and helping keep the apartment tidy.

"Hmmm...I have no idea! Haha! Someone else is paying it for me!"

You blinked, trying to figure out how that worked.

Oh right.

You almost forgot that part of his job involved blackmailing people. No wonder he didn't care if you lived with him or not.

--

The past few days you were busy moving and buying things into your new apartment. During those times you were going back and forth from your old apartment to Izaya's place, you wondered where Nobuso was. You didn't care what he was doing, but you were surprised that he hadn't reported the mess that you and Izaya made from before. Not only that, but he had stopped harassing you. It's not like you wanted him to, but you were curious. It was then you found out through a friend that Izaya and Shizuo were responsible for Nobuso's quiet behavior.

"Tadaima!" You heard Izaya say from where you were sitting on the couch.

"Okaeri!"

After taking off his shoes, Izaya plopped himself down beside you.

"Sooo, I heard from one of my friends that you and Shizu-kun did something to Nobuso about a week ago." You began to smile, having heard everything since your friend witnessed the entire brawl between the three.

"Arigato!" You embraced him around his neck suddenly. "I was quite surprised at how peaceful it's been. I truly appreciate it."

"Haha, it was fun watching him in pain."

"Whatever makes you happy?" You slightly sweat dropped at Izaya's choice of entertainment.

"Anyway, let's go out for dinner! My treat since I wanna show you my thanks. And we can go anywhere you want!"

Before Izaya could respond, his phone rang loudly, the black haired boy answering it after the 3rd ring.
"Ah, sorry, __(y/n)-chan! But I need to take care of something first." He put his phone away, standing up.
"Daijoubu! We can go another time when you're free."
"Yes, definitely. You can show me next time just how thankful you are." He gave a suggestive smirk, your cheeks heating up in reaction.
"Just be careful." You pretended that his comment didn't have an effect on  you, watching the male head to the door. Once he left, you let out a sigh, taking out your phone and deciding to call Shizuo. Hmmm, you needed to thank him, too! Shizuo was free for the rest of the night so you suggested to have dinner together.

--

You choose a new restaurant this time, wanting to try something different. You and him had given your orders to the waiter, waiting for him to return with the drinks first. A thought passed through your mind, almost making your heart stop.

That's right. You still have to tell Shizuo about being Izaya's roomie. You weren't stupid, you knew how those two felt about one another and how they would try to get you on one side. Why couldn't they just get along? -_-

"So, I found a new apartment." you told him, giving him a small smile.

"Oh yeah? Where?"

"Eheh...at Iza-kun's place." You kept your voice low, trying to laugh it off a bit.

"WHAT?!?!" Shizuo shouted loudly, standing up as he caused the rest of the customers to look at him.

"Shh! You're too loud! And will you sit down?" You tried to calm the short tempered blonde, the male taking a few deep breaths before settling back in his chair.

"When did this happen?" He questioned, trying to fight that desire of beating Izaya. "Wait, HOW did this even happen? Is he blackmailing you? That's it, isn't it?" Shizuo pounded a fist into his palm.

"Eh? What? No! Of course not! Just..listen!" You tried to gather all of his attention on the conversation.

"Iza-kun did NOT blackmail me. He actually helped me out," You gave him a small frown, "I know you two had issues way back, but he really is a nice guy." You heard Shizuo scoff, arms crossed as he looked to the side.

"Are you...angry at me?" You gave him a slightly sad look and he reacted with a frozen expression.

"Of course not. I'm just...surprised. I just don't think he deserves a roomate like you." He mumbled the last part. "But why didn't you ask me to stay at my place?"

"Well, I couldn't invite myself like that. Iza-kun actually offered it to me before. I wouldn't mind rooming with you, but since you didn't say anything, I didn't want to impose."

"You know you never bother me." He was mad at himself for not having thought of the idea first. But honestly, he didn't think his apartment was good enough for you. It was slightly small but it served it's purpose for him. Then again, if you did want to live with him, he'll make sure that it accommodated to your needs.

"You can move to my place any time you want.

"Thanks, but I just moved everything into Iza-kun's place."

"If that bastard tries anything funny with you-"

"Hai, hai. Wakata."

"But know I'm not mad at you, okay?" He gently placed a hand over yours, giving it a small reassuring squeeze.

"Hm. Okay." You smiled slightly.

"By the way, I heard from one of my friends that you and Iza-kun took care of Nobuso," You changed the topic to the main reason why you wanted to treat him for dinner, "Arigato!"

"You have no idea how less stressful it's been. I really appreciate it."

"He was a bastard that needed to be put back in his place." Shizuo seemed slightly embarrassed by your thanks, looking off elsewhere. At the end of the dinner, you paid for everything as you promised. Although Shizuo believed he should have at least contributed, you told him he could make it up next time. You walked around the city, wanting to burn off some of the food you had eaten or maybe you wanted to spend a little more time with your loveable blonde. You noticed that he was quiet and occupied with his own thoughts.

"Okay, tell me what's up?" you asked, the bartender looking down at you.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you look like you got something on your mind. Do you want to talk about it?"

"I was just thinking. Nothing special, just got a few things on my mind."

"All right, but if you wanna talk, you know I'll listen."

Shizuo nodded, letting you walk a little bit ahead of him as he sighed, hands buried in his pockets. This was definitely a sign for him to do what he has been wanting to do for the past week. He took a deep breath before letting it out and pulling something from his pocket.

"Here." He placed something in front of you, identifying the item to be a movie ticket.

"Kasuka gave me two and I'm giving the other to you. It's for his new movie." Shizuo explained as he felt you take the admission paper.

"Arigato! I was going to see it when it comes out!" You smiled gratefully since the movie was going to be released tomorrow and you knew you would have to wait a few days before you could view it.

"And that ticket isn't for you to go alone," the bodyguard added, "so, if you're interested, mind going with me?" Shizuo looked away, avoiding your gaze and hoping you didn't catch his pathetic expression. He had no idea what he looked at the moment, but he knew he felt...uncomfortable. It wasn't that he didn't want to ask you, but he wasn't certain on how you would respond. Yes, you two have gone on movies before, but this time, it's different. He's planning to act on his feelings towards you, hoping that he would be able to do it in a way without scaring you.

What motivated him? Maybe he was beginning to realize that if he doesn't do anything, he'll lose you, especially since you were Izaya's room mate. He felt that if he let any chance slip through his fingers, he'll regret it. Screw it that he was a monster that didn't deserve you. He'll change into a man that would take care of you.

"Of course I don't mind. I'll go with you!" You gladly accepted, placing the ticket in a safe place so that you didn't lose it.

"I'll pick you up around 6. We can have dinner before the movie then afterwards, I guess we can figure it out then." Shizuo said as he walked you back to your apartment.

"Sure! Sounds great!"

--

The next night, you were busy choosing an outfit to wear for tonight. You heard Izaya just arrive home, greeting him as you heard his footsteps becoming louder while he went towards your room.

"So, are we going out tonight to show how grateful you are to your best friend?" Izaya remembered he wasn't able to go to dinner with you yesterday, but he's free now.

"Ah, gomen, Iza-kun! Tonight, I already have plans with Shizu-kun." You gave him a sheepish smile as you were rummaging through your closet. Gosh, why was it that every time you went out, you seem to never have clothes? Or maybe it was because you were going out with Shizuo later?

'But I always go out with him.' You thought to yourself, wondering why tonight you were worrying as to how you looked? Maybe it was because you felt that tonight might be something...special?

'Oh God, what am I thinking? I need to hurry up! I'll just wear whatever! Who am I trying to impress anyway?' You scattered your thoughts away, focusing on finding a comfortable yet decent outfit.

"But I promise that the next time I'm free, we'll go out! We'll do whatever you want!" you said to the information broker as you caught him leaning against your doorway.

"Hmmm...so you're going out on a date with little, old Shizu-chan?" He smirked as you reacted with a blush.

"E-eh? D-date? No way, silly! We're just hanging out!"

"Then why are you trying so hard to figure out an outfit?"

"Don't I always struggling with finding what to wear?" You pointed out.

"Yeah, that's true," he tapped a finger on his chin, "I don't think this time is a regular hang out. How did you guys end up making plans for today?"

"Well, yesterday, I treated him for dinner then he asked me if I wanted to go see Kasuka-kun's movie with him. Well, we plan to eat before, too and after the movie...he said we'll figure it out."

"Isn't that a date?"

"But we always do these kinds of things."

"I believe he has different intentions this time." He fully entered your room, sitting himself on the edge of your bed.

"How do you know?"

"I just know these things." He shrugged one shoulder, giving you a grin. Izaya wasn't stupid. He knew that Shizuo was trying to take you from him.

"Anyway, it's not a date unless we both say and agree it is. Besides, don't you and I always go out to movies and hang out?"

"You consider the many dates we had as only hang outs? My sweet __(y/n), I am hurt!" Izaya pretended to be shocked and brokenhearted, making you roll your eyes.

"Okay, I'm kicking you out. I need to get dressed."

"Go right ahead. Don't worry, I'll close my eyes." Izaya smirked as you gave him a stern look. He laughed it off, respecting your wish as he left your room. You were doing last minute touch ups when you received a message from Shizuo, telling you that he was five minutes away. You bid Izaya good-bye, going to meet the blonde downstairs at the front.

--

Dinner was at a restaurant you both labeled as your favorite. You didn't feel any different as you ate and chatted with Shizuo, but there were times when Izaya's words crept into your mind. Was it really a date? What did he mean that Shizuo had different intentions?

'Ah, I bet he was just trying to mess with me.' You concluded, finishing up the rest of your food. Shizuo paid for the dinner, saying that you should be used to him treating you when you insisted that you could pay for half. The restaurant wasn't far from the movie theater, leaving his car where it was as you both walked to the building. As you expected, the line was very long for buying Kasuka's new movie, but thankfully, you and Shizuo already got your passes. Although you avoided the line, inside the theater room was very filled. There were barely seats left that were beside each other. If there were, they were either single spots or people were holding the seats for other people. However, Shizuo managed to find one, a spot not too close yet not too far from the screen.

"C'mon." He took your hand, directing you to your places until another couple obstructed him.

"Hey, yo, man! This is mine and my girl's seat!" A male dressed in baggy jeans and a large hoodie spoke as his girlfriend was peeking from over his shoulder.

"Yeah! We've been trying to find a seat for over ten minutes!"

"I believe that I saw it first." Even in the dark you could feel Shizuo's growing anger towards the loud boy.

"You outta yo' mind! Get the hell outta here and find a different seat! Movie's 'bout to start and I ain't planning on wasting my time with you!"

"Don't care if the movie is about to start. I'm not leaving." The bodyguard was not going to move, not going to give up a spot that the two of you could use. He might be ruining the mood by arguing loudly with this man, but he'd rather fight than let him embarrass him like that and leave without getting you a seat.

"W-wait, honey...maybe we should go look for another..." The girlfriend of the male whispered, recognizing the blonde before her when the lights of the advertisements on the movie flashed against Shizuo's face.

"Nah, we ain't leaving. This is OUR spot," the guy continued to be stubborn. Before you could pacify Shizuo and tell him that you didn't mind sitting anywhere, the hooded man made a loud demand, "go and take your bitch somewhere else!"

Shizuo's glare intensified, clenching his jaw as he let go of your hand and advanced towards the rude boy.

"You know, I saw two seats right at the front. I think you should take those." Shizuo lifted him up off the floor and over his head, adjusting himself in a throwing position.

"W-w-wait! D-don't!"

Shizuo plunged him forward to the front, the theater becoming less noisy as most of the audience witnessed what he had done. The girl let out a frightened yelp, leaving the room and her boyfriend. He acknowledged what had happened and frowned, turning towards you to apologize until,

"Woo!!"

"Yatta!"

"Sugoi!"

There were a group of girls a row behind you, clapping and cheering on your best friend.

"That guy deserved that!" A brown haired woman said as her friends contributed their thoughts.

"Yeah! He was such a jerk!"

"Even I felt disrespected when he called you that!"

"You're a good man defending your girlfriend!"

"Good job!"

Shizuo nodded in thanks of their praise as you smiled at them, then blushed as you noticed what one female said. The woman assumed that you two were dating, but neither one of you denied it. What did that mean!? The room became dim, indicating the start of the movie. You and Shizuo sat down quickly, not wanting to block anyone's view.

"Ne, arigato." you whispered, leaning close to him so he could better hear you.

"It's no problem. Sorry if I embarrassed you..." He mumbled, feeling foolish for acting how he did because he knew he could've handled it in a better way.

"Of course not! If you weren't going to throw him, I was." You giggled behind your hand, the blonde blinking at your comment. He let out a small scoff, grinning at you as he placed his arm over your shoulders.

"Yeah right, you'd be crushed under his weight."

"Eh? Don't think that I don't know how to handle myself." You stuck out your tongue playfully. You then both ceased your conversation, wanting to better listen and watch the movie.

--

"The ending was such a surprise and as usual, Kasu-kun's acting was amazing!" You told Shizuo, exiting the movie house.

"Yuhei-kun was so handsome in the movie!"

"I wish I was an actress and got to film with him!"

"I want to meet Yuhei-kun so badly!"

You heard the girls from the row behind you say as they, too, were leaving the movies. You giggled quietly, smiling  up at Shizuo,

"Next time he's in town, all three of us should hang out. It'd be nice, ne?" He nodded, finding that idea comforting and looked forward to it. He doesn't see his younger brother often, but when he does, he tries to spend as much time with him as possible. Although their brotherly relationship is a distant one, they care deeply for one another.

"Anything in particular you wanna do?" Shizuo asked as you shrugged.

"Let's walk around for a bit first." As you did, you found that you were nearing your old high school.

"Look! Raijin Academy." You said it's former name before it merged with another school. "I haven't been inside yet to see what kind of changes it went through. We should go."

"Hm? Go where?"

"Inside."

"But the front gate is locked."

"It's all right, we can climb over." You grinned, walking closer to the gate walls.

"This is trespassing you know."

"Relax. It's late and I'm sure that the custodians are finished cleaning the place."

"You've been hanging around Izaya too much." He sighed, shaking his head, but went along with your idea. He helped you climb over the wall first before he joined you on the other side.

"If I remember correctly, the first floor girls' bathroom window always had a problem staying closed so it was usually open." You knew that if you went on the west side of the building at the fourth window with the privacy window film, you were at the first floor female restroom. With Shizuo's help, you managed to open aperture, slipping through carefully and quietly.

"So this is the girls' room." You heard your tall friend reply.

"Mhm!"

"I thought it'd be a lot different."

"Nah, the only difference between our bathrooms is that we don't have urinals and that our tiles are pink."

Once out of the bathroom and into the hallway, memories of your high school days flashed in your mind all at once.

"They didn't seem to change much. Maybe the color of the lockers and walls and it looks very clean, but other than that, it looks practically the same."

"They probably changed the classrooms." Shizuo said as he, too, was remembering his adolescent years. He took out a cigarette, plopping it in his mouth as he pressed down on his lighter. You heard the small noise, head turning quickly to your smoking friend as you grabbed the cigarette from his mouth.

"Don't! Do you want the fire alarm to go off?"

That's right. He forgot about the school's fire detectors. He hid his cigarettes and lighter, turning his face away from you so that you wouldn't be able to see his embarrassed look.

"You really shouldn't smoke. I don't wanna see you get sick." You gently took his arm.

"It's hard, but for you, I'll try." He sighed a bit before giving you a tiny smile. You proceeded to take a tour around the school, wanting to stop at a certain classroom. You and Shizuo were at the second floor, the second to last room at the end of the hallway. You slid the door open, surprised that it wasn't locked.

"I guess they really trust their students to not break in or maybe the teacher forgot?"

"Well, they don't have us this time so there isn't that much to worry about." You nodded in agreement to his response.

"Remember this? This was our senior year's homeroom. So many memories, ne?" You stood in front of the classroom, viewing the entire space.

"The ceiling doesn't look like it's about to fall anymore. And the windows aren't boarded up either." You giggled as Shizuo stood beside you.

"Che, you can blame Izaya for all the property damage."

You knew that Izaya wasn't the only one who destroyed most of the school building, but you kept that statement to yourself. You moved towards the chalkboard to write on, making Shizuo turn his head.

"Mite!" You giggled as you drew an ai-ai gasa with Izaya and Shizuo's name. [1]

"...don't even joke about that." He went to erase the blasphemy on the board, but before he did, you quickly took a picture, sending it to Izaya.

"Erase that."

"Aw, it's just a joke! But okay, for you, I'll do it." Well, it didn't matter if you erased it or not. You could always draw another. You felt your phone vibrate, indicating a new message was received.

From: Orihara, Izaya
10:49 PM

Message: How sweet. Tell Shizu-chan that I'll take him out on a date this Friday night.

You giggled behind your hand, deciding to not relay the message since you didn't want to push Shizuo's limits. You erased the umbrella before walking to the back of the room and sitting at a particular desk.

"This was my seat throughout our senior year. I remember you were at my left and Iza-kun was at my right and Shinra-kun was behind me while Kyohei-kun was in front of you. We always managed to have at least one class together."

"Then that damn Eskimo would get us in trouble." Shizuo sat before you, turning around so he could talk to you face to face.

"Yeah, I'm surprised our group never got expelled."

"They probably were scared of what would happen if they did."

"I remember when our teachers would tell me, Shinra-kun, and Kyohei-kun to stop hanging around you and Iza-kun because they believed you guys were a bad influence and would affect our good grades. I was so pissed at them, I think I made everyone in that room pee themselves."

You both reminisced openly of your high school years, sharing good and bad memories, but mostly laughable moments. As your chuckles and giggles quiet down, Shizuo shared another favorable memory.

"Heh. The first time I threw two people out of that window," he nodded towards the middle pane, "was in the beginning of our last year. I remember coming in and seeing you hysterically crying to Shinra and Kyohei. I immediately thought it was Izaya so as soon as I saw that punk come into homeroom, I threw him out the window. Then I find out through Shinra that it wasn't Izaya who made you cry, but one of your ex boyfriends."

"Hai! Then that huge riot started and the school let us leave early when the fights stopped because there were so many students that needed to go to the hospital. I'm still thankful to you for throwing that guy out."

"Who, Izaya?"

"No, silly! Why would I be grateful for that? I meant my ex." You playfully shook your head, but smiled at how protective he could be.

"Oi! Anyone who is in here, come out! You're trespassing!" You and Shizuo's head shot up, hearing a couple of people in the hallway. From the volume of their voices, you could tell that they were still far from your room, but it would be difficult to escape without being seen.

"Let's hide!" You whispered, grabbing Shizuo's hand and opening a small, storage closet at the back of the classroom. You were in such a hurry when you entered that you didn't how confined this closet was. You had hit your head against a shelf, forcing you on your knees as you closed the door quickly yet quietly. You let out a sigh as you used your cellphone as a flashlight to see your surroundings. You looked in front of you and blushed, finding you were facing Shizuo's pants.

"...this is a really awkward position..."

Shizuo didn't realize you were on your knees in front of him, cheeks transforming a red color as he looked up, avoiding his gaze downwards.

"Okay, we're going to have to move so that my face isn't facing your....ermm, yeah." He agreed, trying to maneuver as quietly as possible with little space given. Just so that your head didn't accidentally bump against his lower half, he would fall on one knee so that you would have room to straighten up. When you tried to pivot your foot at a better angle, you heard Shizuo let out a small hiss, indicating that you had stepped on his hand.

"Sorry!" You whispered. "I'm gonna try to move my leg out of the way, all right?" There were some space at your side where you felt that you could better stand, but you were going to need to turn in a way that you didn't hurt Shizuo. One way to do that was lift your leg over Shizuo's head toward the less cluttered area. As you tried to do so, you didn't raise your leg high enough so it had bumped lightly against his head. You whispered another apology, attempting to proceed with the change, but you heard the voices get closer. You jumped slightly as you could hear them pounding on the doors of the classroom, nearing the room you and Shizuo were in. You didn't move, your leg now resting on Shizuo's shoulder afraid of making a noise as the people banged on the door of the classroom you were hiding in. The sliding of the door made you hold your breath, mentally hoping and praying they wouldn't look in your secret spot. Shizuo was the same, barely breathing as he tried to think of his next move if those people did find you two out. Maybe he could punch them so hard and knock them out, giving time for you two to escape. Yeah, he can do that. Maybe his hit would be hard enough to make their memory hazy.

"There's no one here. You sure that old lady was right about those two kids breaking in?" You heard one of the people say and you figured that they were policemen trying to check out the situation.

"Well, I don't know. She said she saw this couple climbing over the gates."

"Che, probably just some teenagers up to no good. They probably ran off before we came. Anyway, let's get outta here. We still have to patrol the streets."

You didn't let out your breath until the law enforcers closed the door, listening carefully to their footsteps. You could hear them descending the stairs, implying that they were no longer present in this hallway.

"Let's go, too." You looked down at Shizuo then you both blushed as soon as eye contact was made. You were placed in another inappropriate situation, seeing his face near your very special area with your leg over his shoulder since you stopped moving it midway when the cops came.

"I'll open the door and you can go out first." Shizuo replied and you agreed. Although the cops were gone from the building, you two made the least noise possible. Once at the gates, Shizuo helped you over first, but on the way up, you heard the same policemen's voices. They were doing one last round around the perimeter of the school and ended up noticing you.

"Hey you kids! Get back here!" They were too far to identify who you two were, but they could clearly see a couple jumping over the gate. Shizuo quickly met with you on the opposite side of the fence, grabbing your hand and running away from your old high school, the place where his feelings for you began to develop. The cops were unable to catch up, abandoning the chase, but you didn't stop until you were back at the movie theater. People were looking at you and Shizuo with raised eyebrows, wondering what you two were doing to be gasping for air. You looked over at Shizuo, leaning against the wall of a building as you began to laugh, not really helping your hs problems, but you just found the entire situation funny and exciting. Your laugh became contagious as Shizou began to chuckle, hand on his knee since the other was still clasping on yours. The adrenaline was beginning to decrease, slowing down your heart and breathing rate to its normal pace. You found that your hands were still connected, but you didn't say anything, feeling too comfortable to let go. Shizuo was the first to push himself off the building, nodding in the direction of his car so that he could take you home before it got too late. As you walked a few steps, you didn't consider Shizuo's feelings. What if he wasn't comfortable holding your hand and was waiting for you to let it go? To respect his space yet show that you didn't mind being close to him, you let go of his hand and linked your arm with his, giving him a smile.

"Wanna do that again next time?" You joked, not wanting to risk getting caught.

"I'd rather not." With Shizuo's record of his involvement with crimes, ones Izaya framed him for, he didn't want to make his file anymore thicker. He noticed the hand change and wondered if he was pushing it too far by having not let go before. You still made close contact with him so maybe you weren't too complacent with the hand holding.

Oh, if you two could only read each other's minds.

Shizuo opened the car door for you, letting you settle first before he closed it. It didn't take long to arrive at your apartment, Shizuo still displeased that you were living with Izaya. Well, hopefully it'll be temporary. Shizuo walked you to the entrance of the apartment wanting to wish you a good night.

"Thank you so much for today and for coming with me when we snuck into Raijin Academy. I had a lot of fun!"

"It was no problem. Glad you enjoyed." Shizuo smiled down at you as you told him to drive safe and to text you when he arrived home. As you turned to enter your apartment building, he gently grabbed your hand, catching you off guard as he planted his lips against yours. Your eyes widened at the unexpected gesture, viewing every detail of his face due to the proximity. A few seconds later, you were finally able to grasp on the situation, needing to react. You didn't know what to do, but you felt that kissing him back was the right decision. You closed your eyes like him, applying light pressure against his lips, letting Shizuo know that you were not going to reject him. You felt him pull away slightly only to capture another kiss. This was the first time you have ever kissed Shizuo like this and for a guy labeled as a 'monster', he had one of the sweetest and gentlest kisses.

Shizuo's heart was rapidly beating, breathing in and out carefully, afraid to ruin the moment. He had been debating on making this move for a while, but the thought of rejection drove him from the idea. Now he was happy to have gone through it, at least now knowing you had some sort of interest in him. He made a finally pull from the kiss, liking the look you had when your lips separated. Your eyes were closed, lips in a slight pout but curving into a small smile. You opened those beautiful __(eye color) eyes, looking up at the tall male as you gave him a soft smile, displaying the enjoyment of the kiss.

"Next time, I'll tell you if it's a date or not." Shizuo said quietly as he kissed your cheek before heading to his car. Shizuo knew you didn't understand that he was asking you out on a date. It was mostly his fault for not being clear or better preparing. Well, it didn't matter, he liked how tonight ended and he would hope that you would allow him to take you out not as a friend, but as someone who wished for your companionship.

I LOVED IT!!!! I LOVED IT!!!!! I LOVED IT!!!!! I LOVED IT!!!!!! OMG this was just.. I mean I don't even know how to put it into words!! Amazing, outstanding, awesome, spectacular!! I love how its so obvious that they both love the reader (me) but she's oblivious sometimes and she sees it all as friendly gestures. I love your writing, I adore the plot, omg I know this may sound weird but I truly felt like Shizuo and Izaya actually liked me (if that makes sense)!! ♥ I loved reading this and I hope you make more in the near future! Plz I'm not rushing you, just take your time! I can't wait!! Your a really good writer! :D

Omg! Thank you so much!! You really made my night! :D I am sooo happy you are enjoying it! And I don't find it weird at all! I think it's great! That's what I was aiming for! I want people to be able to really feel like they are part of the story!

Of course I will make more! :D I'm trying to figure out what to do for the next chapter. I have a few ideas, but I need a solid plot for that particular chapter. I don't want it to be a mess. ^^U

Anyway, thank you soooo much for your faves and comment! You are adding to my motivation! :D
