Yogi X ReaderChapter 1: Golden Hope
A blonde, Nyanperowna lover is walking down a crowded street, ready to spend his cash for his dear friends. The ship had stopped for a few days in a town and Yogi was curious as to what shops they had to offer him.'I wonder if they have a Nyanperowna store here!'
He hummed a tune to himself. He pulls out his earnings that Circus supplied for his services, making sure he didn't accidentally lose them. However, unbeknownst to him, a middle aged man had eyed the bundle of money, a smirk forming on his lips. As he pulled out the burning cigarette from his mouth, he exhales quickly, and pushes himself from the building wall.
"Hey there young lad. The name's Tom. You look like someone who likes to have fun. I'm sure ya do! Who doesn't, right? Anyway, follow me and I'll show you something entertaining!"
"Yeah, yeah! I like fun!" Yogi gives the man a smile, forgetting the potential danger of easily trusting a stranger.
"All right! That sounds great! If you got any friends, you should bring them next time." Yogi felt the male push him slightly towards an alleyway across from them.
"Okay! I'll bring them after. By the way, what kind of place is this?" He wondered of the entertainment the man kept praising about. He knew he had other plans, but his curiosity wasn't letting him fulfill his original task. Maybe he'll do what he says, check it out for a few moments then return to his shopping before it gets too late. Maybe the place the man was taking him had some things Nyanperowna items! Or candy!'There might be some stuff for Gareki-kun! And Nai-chan! And Tsukumo-chan, too!'
He then sees the man knock three times on a door near the end of the alleyway and a small sliding window was opened from the other side of the door.
"It's me," Tom replied to the pair of eyes that were monitoring who wished for access, "got me a customer."
The door was opened and the two males entered, walking down a long set of stairs. The further Yogi descended, the louder he could hear noises coming from the room. There were sounds of males obnoxiously cheering and shouting out random numbers.
"Here, I'll help ya get to the front." Tom raised his voice over the rest of the customers, bringing the blonde boy where the center of the entertainment was. He could see how excited all the men were, Yogi trying to deduct the cause. Maybe someone was showing off tricks? He found himself at the front, noticing that there was a small stage presented to him.
Ah, it's a show?
"All right, here's the next one!" He sees a roundly shaped man dressed in clothes similar to what people of high class wore. From his outfit to his body shape, Yogi could tell that this man lived a rich life. The Circus fighter sees the man on the mini stage pull roughly at a rope that was tightly tied around a person. Although the person was wearing a potato sack over their head, he knew that it was a woman from the dress she wore. The woman struggled against the man's rough haul, receiving a violent kick to her legs, bringing her to her knees. The nobleman stood behind the lady, heavily placing a foot on her back to keep her from standing. He looked to his side, nodding to a couple of men to aid in holding down the female.
"This one is a freshie! Just got her a few weeks ago!" The man pulled off the bag from her head, Yogi now staring at frantic ___(eye color) irises. His violet eyes become wide with shock, finally realizing that this was an auction. Not for things, but for people. The girl continued to wrestle against the men's clutches, a low growl escaping her clothed mouth. In order to regain control over the woman, the men who ran this business tightly tied her wrists together and to further restrain her, they wrapped the rope around her arms to her sides.
"She isn't as docile as the others, but she does have a pretty face! Also, you can train her to your liking! She's the type for those who like the challenge! Now, let's start the next round!" The auctioneer announced, an excited smirk growing on his greedy face. "Since she hasn't been tamed, we can start off at a really low price!"
Your heart was pounding quickly and heavily, feeling as if it was going to expire due to its constant 'Flight or Fight' mode. You felt yourself become closer to the stage's floor under the auctioneer's foot when you attempted to rise. The girls whom you had formed some type of relationship with during your captivity were bought quickly and it scared you knowing you'd never see them again. You knew what was going to happen to you and the other women, but you refused to believe that it would become your future.'Please...please let me get out of here! Please!'
You mentally pleaded as you envisioned your freedom. As you can hear the disgusting men hurrah at the start of your bid, your blood pressure and heart rate rise dramatically the louder they became. They were pigs! All of them! Their perverse smirks and expressions, their ugly faces, everything about them should just perish! Before you could hear the starting bid, you thrashed violently, surprising the three men who were pinning.
"Listen you bitch! I told you to behave properly! You just don't learn, do you? Are you stupid? Do you like to get beat?!" The man above you stomped his foot hard and repeatedly on your spine, causing a yelp to go unnoticed as it's dominated by the audience's cheer. Your head hit the floor when his boot was forced down at the back of your skull. You winced, trying not to move in fear of aggravating the pain that erupted in your head. You looked ahead and see a young man with gold hair, purple eyes, and a small, white patch on his left cheek. He seemed different from the rest of the crowd, wondering why he wasn't excited to see your pain.
What were they doing to that poor woman? How could they do that to another human being? Sometimes he couldn't tell which species were worse, humans or varuga?
He saw that helplessness in your eyes, a look that he was familiar with during his missions to rescue civilians from varuga. It was something he tried so hard to stop from seeing too much of. As long as he was around, he never wanted to see anyone in pain.
He notes your hopeless expression being replaced with determination and a look of distrust. You couldn't trust anyone to save you. You had to become your own savior.
Yogi hated the feeling of being unable to escape and crying for help, but no one could save you. It was a dark emotion that always scared him. He refused to stand by any longer, gathering his courage and raising his hand before projecting his voice in an unusual pitch, "I-I-I'll take her!"
"Oh?" The auctioneer raised a brow at the young male. "What do you have to offer?"
"Here! I'll give you all of this if I can have her." The violet eyed boy uses his other hand to produce the money that was suppose to have been used for his friends. His raised hand then digs into his other pocket, revealing more cash.
"Boy, you must really want this girl to be offering that much all at once!" The Circus fighter saw the man above you eye his cash greedily. "Sold to the tall blondie!"
He heard a few disappointed groans, but the crowd recovered quickly as they remember that there were other women available. They demanded more, the auctioneer nodding to his other set of helpers to bring the next victim. The two men holding you told Yogi to meet them near the back where they could make the exchange without interruptions. As Yogi approaches you with the money in his hand, you begin to sob, the Circus member mentally panicking. He wanted to tell you that he wouldn't hurt you, feeling guilty for making you think that he wanted you for his own personal use. He had to keep the act up, not wanting to reveal his true identity. If he delayed any further, you might have been with someone worse. He wanted to stop this situation, but he had to plan ahead and smart. He didn't know how many varuga were present or if there were any at all. One move could trigger the monsters and he puts other victims at risk. For now, he'll leave with you, set you free, then report the incident to Hirato.
Yogi gave the money to one male as the second was holding you back. You shook once more, hoping that if you moved violently enough, you might be able to break free.
"Quit it, you stupid-" Before one of the men jabbed their hand against your cheek, Yogi placed his arm in front of your face.
"Don't." The two could see the seriousness in Yogi's eyes and almost forgot that you were now his property. They had no right touching other people's things especially after the amount of money he paid. If they angered a customer, they could lose their jobs.
"Right, sorry about that."
"The exit is right where you came from. Enjoy your new woman. We're selling every day so if you get bored of her, come back." Ship 2's fighter heard one of them reply before returning to their duties. Yogi glanced at you, finding your eyes were closed but dripping with tears while he felt your body shake.
Was this it?
You were now owned by a stranger, finding the light to freedom become dimmer and dimmer. Was he a varuga and he intended to eat you to replenish his energy? Or would he defile you every single day until you became an empty shell of yourself. You were trying hard to hold on to hope, but it was difficult seeing your current position. Your plan of kicking him and running away once outside seemed like a failure when you assessed his physique. He was tall and his built did not look like it would be easily pushed over.
But did it matter? Did it really matter if this person was going to kill you? You'd gladly take that than become someone's plaything.
No! None of that was going to happen.
You would fight! You were not going to live like this!
It was decided that when out of this basement, you would attack and find shelter from the man. You didn't want to give up yet.
He frowned at your emotional state, wanting to reassure you that he was not the enemy. He leans into your ear, using his hand to form a 'C' like shape in order for you to better hear.
"I'm not going to hurt you. I promise," he whispers, "I know it's confusing and you don't know me, but once we're outside, you can go back home."
You blinked a couple of times before looking at him, Yogi giving you a tiny smile as if verifying what he had told you was true. Should you trust him? Well, you didn't have much of a choice. Your tears had stopped for now as you followed the boy to the exit. You still kept to the plan just in case he was lying, hoping that God was deciding to spare you today. Yogi and the guard at the front exchanged small nods before opening the door to pass through.
Your eyes automatically shut at the sudden change in light, having been used to the poorly lit basement. He was guiding you away from the door but still within the alleyway. He didn't want to untie you in the streets because he would get strange accusations from people. You felt a few tugs at the ropes around your torso, automatically guarding yourself in fear of them tightening. Once your eyes adjusted to the brightness, you see the golden haired boy cutting your restraints with a sword. He frowned at the deep abrasions underneath the ropes, being gentle while taking off the rest. Some areas were fresh, bright red and pink, while others were with dried blood and scabbed. He lastly released the cloth that was tied over your mouth that kept you from screaming. He then took a step back, proving his good intentions.
"I-I'm sorry for scaring you!" You blinked a couple times as your 'owner' is now crying before you.
"But I needed them to think that I really wanted to buy you. I wanted to get you out as fast as I could. I know there are other people there, but I have to report this to my Captain. And I'm Yogi by the way. I'm from Circus! I won't hurt you. You're safe now. Me and my friends are gonna take care of this! Let's take you home, I bet you wanna see your family, right?" Yogi tried to convey all of his thoughts as quickly as possible to get you to understand that he was not going to keep you prisoner. You listened to what he had to say, but registering everything at once was difficult. However, you believed his sincerity and lowered your guard slightly.
"Anyway, where's your home? I'll take you there. Although you should get checked out by Gramps...ahh, but I know how important family is. Oh, I know! We can see your family first, tell them that you're safe, then I'd have to bring you to Gramps to make sure you're okay. Sounds good, ne? Yosh! So, where do you live?"
Family and home were two words that you were having difficulty defining. Yogi notices the delay in response before asking,
You looked up at the tall man and shook your head, raising your shoulders slightly and Yogi interpreted that your home was unknown.
I went to Disney over the summer and I went on a Pirates of the Caribbean ride. You're basically riding in shallow water and around you, they have scenes from the movie or just things that pertained to Pirates. So I saw this scene and it gave me an idea for this fic. Lol
